What began as a focused kitchen remodel evolved into a comprehensive two-year renovation of this Capitol Hill condo. This extended timeline allowed us to thoughtfully expand the design language from the heart of the home into the private sanctuaries of the bathrooms, ensuring a unified aesthetic throughout the residence.
Navigating the inherent spatial constraints of a high-end condo required meticulous planning. We scrutinized every square inch to balance circulation, storage, and appliance integration. Our objective was to maximize utility and flow without sacrificing the open, airy feeling of the living spaces.
The design approach centers on a sophisticated balance between clean refinement and vibrant personality. While the kitchen remains polished and architectural, the bathrooms serve as a canvas for bold color choices and experimental materials. A centerpiece of this execution is the sintered stone wall cladding; expertly mitered to minimize grout lines, it creates a nearly seamless, monolithic appearance that exudes luxury.
Ultimately, the finished home is a testament to highly personalized design. By prioritizing how the client truly inhabits each space rather than adhering strictly to photographic trends, we achieved a result that feels both cohesive and character-rich—a home that is as functional as it is visually striking.
